West Willow Community Church has a long and colorful history in Enid, Oklahoma. Beginning in 1921 as Frisco Mission it gave young preachers a place to perfect their preaching. Incorporating as an independent church in 1935 it hosted notable preachers such as C.I. Scofield, and Henry Ironside. Pastor O. Fred Hanna lead the congregation through World War II, Korea and Vietnam retiring in the late 60’s. The church seemed to flounder through the next twenty years of pastors and eventually called Rev. Don Tines in 1983
In 1992 the church relocated to a new facility and reconstituted as West Willow (identifying it location) Community (identifying its outreach) Church (identifying itself as a fellowship of baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ). Our worship style is casual, relaxed and blended with both traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music. Our Message is Jesus Christ, crucified, buried and risen again as the Son of God fully able and willing to forgive those who trust in Him. Our Mission: To Evangelize or propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ; To Educate or build up the believers in the faith; and to Encourage believers by maintaining fellowship.
